Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre was sold out and buzzing long before Castro even set foot on stage. Fans packed into the venue with an energy that was impossible to ignore; singing, dancing, and chanting in Spanish like they’d been waiting all year for this night. It was the first stop of his Sendé World Tour, and Vancouver came ready to party.

Opening the night, DJ Tony Escobar wasted no time turning the crowd into a full-blown sing-along. Spinning hit after hit, he tapped into the soundtrack of Latin music lovers everywhere; songs the audience knew so well they could sing every lyric without missing a beat. By the time the stage lights dimmed for the main event, the room felt like it had already been through a party.

Ryan Castro hit the stage backed by a production that was as over-the-top as it was fun: tropical beach-themed props, bursts of smoke, piercing laser beams, and enough bass to make the floor shake. The crowd fed off his energy instantly, shouting back the words to every chorus and raising their hands with each beat drop.

The Colombian reggaetón star, who grew up in Medellín’s working-class neighborhoods and earned the nickname El Cantante del Ghetto, brought with him the same street-smart charisma and relentless work ethic that have defined his rise. From recording early tracks in makeshift home studios to becoming one of the most streamed Latin artists globally, Castro’s story is a testament to hustle meeting talent.

The exchange between artist and audience never slowed. Castro danced, grinned, and worked every corner of the stage like a man who knew exactly how much the night meant to the people in front of him. By the end, it wasn’t just a concert — it was a shared celebration, a room full of strangers moving and singing as one. Vancouver didn’t just witness the start of a world tour; it lived it.
