Justice and KAYTRADA brought their North America Tour to Rogers Arena.
Vancouver got the first stop of Justice and KAYTRANADA’s North American tour, and was magical.
Sam Gellaitry
The night started with Sam Gellaitry, whose blend of house, electronic, and experimental sounds filled the arena, priming the early-comers for the night to come. His set was sharp and full of rhythm, getting fans’ hips moving before they knew it. By the end, the crowd was already warmed up from the cold weather outside and ready to groove.
KAYTRANADA
KAYTRANADA came on soon after Gellaitry’s set ended, stepping onto a 360° stage in the middle of the arena that rose and descended throughout his set. The crowd reaction was immediate — half awe, half disbelief as people were trying to figure out what the centre stage was for prior to his entrance. Surrounded by dancing fans on all sides, he looked completely at home, moving to his own beats in a white tank top and sunglasses under shifting lights and lasers.
His set moved seamlessly between house, hip-hop, and funk, each track more fluid than the last. The most striking part wasn’t the production, but how present everyone felt. Barely any phones were up. Looking through the crowd, there was just people dancing together, in the moment. This is a rare feat for this day and age, and is something that truly only a few artists can master.
Justice
When Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, also known as Justice, hit the main stage, the tone added another layer of magic to the concert experience. Their sound filled every corner of Rogers Arena — deep, loud, and physical. The LED screens and lights behind them gave the stage a high-contrast, futuristic look that felt straight out of Tron. They controlled every moment. The bass vibrated through the floors, the crowd moved like one body, and the visuals tied everything together. Their signature deep electronic music brought their art to another level when listening through the echoes of the huge arena speakers, bouncing off the walls and hitting the crowd. By the end, the duo stepped offstage to meet fans, sign a few records, and say quick hellos — a low-key but genuine way to close the night.
Vancouver’s opening night set the tone for the rest of the tour — clean, confident, and technically sharp. Between Gellaitry’s smooth opener, KAYTRANADA’s inventive stage design, and Justice’s all-out power, it was a reminder that electronic music doesn’t need gimmicks to hit hard
